Nubia, Olei and Gina (also known as The Gross Sisters) are a trio of baddest sisters who attend Willy T. Ribbs Middle School.

Appearance[]

The Gross Sisters all have blue skin, due to their usual colors being ashy and not being able to afford lotion, and wear black overalls, white t-shirts, and dark blue and white sneakers. Nubia is lanky and has cornrows, the legs on her overalls are pulled up, and in the original series was the tallest. Olei is shorter and has a bulky build with braces and hair has a messy bun, in the 2022 revival, she’s now the tallest and her short hair is done in dreadlocks (with shaved sides). Gina is the shortest and has an Afro hairstyle (with a dark blue headband).

History[]

They are three girls constantly mugging people for money and show violent bullying tendencies. Their parents make them work on the weekends. They had a Jamaican mother; she wears an orange floral outfit and her hair in dreadlocks with a hairclip. The rest of their family is entirely blue including their clothes, except the sisters who wear black overalls. The reason why is because their family can never afford lotion and they work in the hot sun all day.

Nubia is the middle child and the leader of the pack, considering she is the only one who talks. Gina is the oldest, despite being the smallest. She collects money from her sisters' muggings; as a habit, she always has her hand out. Olei is the youngest and the biggest of the three. Like Gina, Olei is quiet for all times. Once, Olei, the "muscle of the group", was separated from her sisters when she got a makeover[1].

Although they rarely get in trouble for their deeds, they are actually caught once. They often offer Penny their help, but then take her and her friends' money just like everyone else. After witnessing Penny fighting the Carver clone on national television, they develop respect for her with Nubia calling Penny "hardcore." On one episode, "Boot Camp", Penny winds up becoming one of the Gross Sisters and bullies all of her friends and disrespects her parents until she gets sent to boot camp.

In the revival, the sisters moved to a higher-end neighbourhood and switch into their music careers as a rap trio, stating they are done bullying. But that doesn’t stop the trio from taking sports bets shown in "It All Started with an Orange Basketball".

Their catchphrase is, "Hands up. Cash out." which finally becomes the title for their first rap record.

Personalities[]

The Gross sisters bully kids for their money, and hate when they get snitched on and will harass anyone who does.

However, The Gross sisters do know when it’s the right time to stop bullying others and apologize, especially when they get intimidated by others. Like when they bullied Michael Collins, alongside a few others, to the point that they were faced with a traumatizing version of him, and become afraid of him. To the point that they apologized and said they would defend him for now on out of fear and guilt after Michael’s spoke about his feelings later on in the day.

Nubia, in particular, is very protective of her siblings. This is shown when KG makes Olei cry by leaving her when it was clear she liked him. Nubia threatened Maya and her friends because of it.
