The Wizard's Dollar a Night Motel is an economical low-star hotel owned by Wizard Kelly . It opened in the 1950s as the Hillside Inn. It closed in 1967 and was rebranded as a trucker's spot reopening in 1969 as the Rusty Motel. It closed in the 1980s due to years of crime and poor management which caused the building to deteriorate into unacceptable condition. Kelly purchased the building in 1989, restored it and reopened it the following year as his Dollar A Night Hotel. Ray Ray Proud and his family once rented a room there during the events of Behind the Family Lines.
